Obituary
Rodney Robert Hercher, age 69 entered into rest Saturday, December 21, 2019 at his Herculaneum residence. He had worked as a carman for Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, boating and classic cars – above all he was a family man. Rodney was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1185 in DeSoto, Missouri, Elks Lodge and the Redneck Yacht Club; he was also a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Born July 29, 1950 in St. Louis to the late Marvin O. Hercher and Thelma J. (Pitzer) Hercher.
Survived by his loving family which includes his wife, Sherri K. (Wilson) Hercher, sons Dustin R. Hercher of Valles Mines, Cory R. Hercher of Herculaneum, and step-son David Wilson of Herculaneum; daughters Angela K. Pitchford of Imperial, Wendy (James) M. Ford of Valles Mines; grandchildren Ashtin (Lucas) Dennis, Taylor (Dale) Lakes, Preston Pitchford, Renee Lemons, Abigail Wilson, Samantha Hercher, Brody Hercher, Brandon Hercher, Hunter Hercher, Dallas Wilson and great-grandchild Colton.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Melvin M. Hercher and two sisters Diana Hercher and Doris Griffith.
