PARK HILLS – Gordon Harmon, of Park Hills, passed away May 23, 2021 at his home at the age of 67. He was born November 25, 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho to the late Boyd and Dorothy (Schultz) Harmon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Denise Transtrum and Dorothy Harmon and a brother, Frank Harmon.
Gordon grew up in the state of Idaho and graduated from Highland High School in Pocatello. Early on he went to work for a construction company which built bridges and railways for the railroad company. Eventually, he ended up working for Union Pacific Railroad and was transferred to DeSoto in 1997. He retired from the railroad in 2016 after thirty years.
He very much enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Gordon never met a stranger and loved visiting with friends and family. He was known for helping others with various tasks and was always very generous to lend a helping hand. He was instrumental with partnering Hope 4 Autism.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Harmon; grandsons, Garrett Gann and Morgan Gann; his siblings, Stanley Harmon, Wendy Fulmer, Carol Allison and Dale Harmon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation on Friday morning beginning at 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Reverend Mark Moss officiating.
