Raymond Alexander Johnston was born February 1, 1942 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Roy A. and Myrtle F. (nee Freeman) Johnston. He died on October 5, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, MO at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his sons, Michael R. Johnston, Poplar Bluff, MO and Jeffrey A. (Stacey Granger) Johnston, Gouldsboro, PA; one granddaughter, Mikayla Johnston. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Hester L. (nee McKean) Johnston and second wife, Maxine (nee Govero) Johnston; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Johnston; one sister, Betty J. Gideon; three brothers, Walter, Howard, and Glenn Johnston. Raymond was a carman/welder for Union Pacific Railroad and retired from the Army National Guard.
