Richard “Dick” Parish

Richard Oliver “Dick” Parish was born March 7, 1943 in Omaha, NE. He was the son of Robert and Lela (nee McConnell) Parish. He passed on July 30, 2018 at his residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 75 years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (nee Scott) Parish, De Soto, MO; children, Tammy Kneifl, Omaha, NE; Carla (Dave) Jones, Omaha, NE; Megan (Tim) England, Long Lane, MO; Jamie Kleckner, Council Bluff, IA; Brett Kleckner, Norfolk, VA; and Rodney Kleckner, Norfolk, VA; siblings, Robyn Parish, Pittsburg, CA; Donna Freeman, Omaha, NE; and Robert Parish, Omaha, NE; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dick was a carman at Union Pacific Railroad; he was active with Meals on Wheels and De Soto Senior Center. He was also a member and very active with the First United Methodist Church, De Soto, MO.
